JaMeesia Ford, a freshman at South Carolina, won the women's 200-meter title in 22.36 seconds to equal her American Under-20 indoor record at the Southeastern Conference Indoor Championships at the Randal Tyson Track Center in Arkansas. Ford also anchored the Gamecocks to victory in the women's 4x400-meter relay in 3:26.05, achieving a 49.80-second split, the fourth-fastest all-time indoors and a World U20 record. Ford trails only fellow Americans Britton Wilson (49.19) and Athing Mu (49.54), along with Dutch competitor Femke Bol (49.58) among the fastest 4x400 splits in indoor history. South Carolina also achieved an American collegiate record and the third-fastest all-time indoor performance by an American quartet, in addition to elevating to the No. 5 collegiate program in indoor history.
