The much-anticipated outdoor track and field season begins this weekend for the Gamecocks, as the team travels to Myrtle Beach for the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational. The three-day meet is hosted by Coastal Carolina. It kicked off Thursday with just a pair of events, the men's hammer throw and the 10,000-meter run.
